Roland U-220

Yes, I still have this. A great instrument, and especially good for retro sounds.

Released in 1989, the Roland U-220 is described as a “Multi-Timbral Synthesizer Module“. The RS in the model name stands for Re-Synthesized, as the synthesizer engine can play back a modified version of stored PCM (Pulse Code Modulated) samples from a ROM (read only memory). It is in the class of synths called Romplers as opposed to Samplers.

I happen to have two of the sound cards.

I should probably sell it since it’s in perfect shape, but I’ve already gotten rid of so many synths. I will keep this. I even put a new battery in it 🙂
